 KNS and its partners have always been concerned with the protection of people and the environment; as such it is natural that KNS adopts strict and demanding procedures to maintain this double protection.
Since the beginning of the project, and all through the years of future development, KNS will continue to maintain norms considered to be the most comprehensive and efficient in the mining sector.
Not only does KNS aim to become New Caledonian leader in industrial occupational health and safety, it also supports the whole of it’s human resources in order to encourage its personnel to retain a responsiveness that will allow them to think in terms of preventative strategies.
KNS requires that its norms be respected but at the same time provides assistance. Specialised occupational health and safety resources are made available by KNS to assist contractors and the community that wish to be better informed about their health and safety.
In this way, the entire population of the Northern Province and New Caledonia will benefit from the KNS health and safety program through a joint effort towards a healthier and safer work environment.
